HHS Culinary Students present Harvest of the Month to Central Montessori

HOM presentation at CentralDid you catch us on KTVH last night?  HHS students in the Culinary Arts program research and plan a lesson each month for the Central School 4/5 Montessori class.  The curriculum is outlined for each month including subject connections, learning objectives, lesson ideas and recipes by the Harvest of the Month Project leaders at Montana State University.  According to coordinator and one of this year’s HEF Distinguished Educators, Joan Leik, “the high school students have had a great experience and are very excited each month to work on a new lesson.  It’s such a great opportunity for the high school students to experience teaching and the elementary students to see them as mentors.”  We agree!
