Helena Adult Learning Center focuses on preparing students for employment and/or college. This includes preparation for the HiSET (High School Equivalency Test).
HiSET Testing Center provides the students the opportunity to take the HiSET Exam without accessing other services offered through the Adult Learning Center.
Helena Adult Learning Center Services include:
Orientation, advising, and minimum-hours of attendance are considered part of a studentās obligation for accessing the FREE services provided by the Adult Learning Center. Class sessions are offered every six weeks.
The purpose of the Adult Learning Center is to provide for the literacy needs of adults in the community. Literacy is defined as the individualās ability to apply reading, writing, and computational skills to a career and to everyday life. Furthermore, all staff are committed to recognizing individual needs, assisting each student in achieving his or her highest potential, and promoting the desire for lifelong learning.
Local, State, and Federal Policy
The Helena Adult Learning Center will strive to meet all policy guidelines, as required, and report information in a timely and accurate manner as directed.
Instruction
The Helena Adult Learning Center will provide an environment for students that includes: flexible scheduling, high quality instructors, and curriculum materials so that students will see an increase in their educational functioning level.
Community
The Helena Adult Learning Center will be an integral partner with referring agencies providing academic support for mutual clients.
