Masking Optional Outdoors: As part of our most recent Board of Trustees meeting, masking requirements related to our campuses were modified to make wearing a mask optional while outdoors. While exceptions including vigorous exercise were previously included – this edit will allow our students and employees the option of removing their mask outdoors including outdoor classes, breaks, and recesses. This change will not be immediate as each school and level are different in terms of student ages, school schedules, and facilities. We will need time to discuss and align processes to support this opportunity. However, this outdoor option will be available to students and employees shortly. Should conditions and/or guidance in relation to masking while outdoors change in the coming months, we will seek to shift our practices. At this time, school specific guidance (local and national) does not require masking while outdoors.
High School Graduations: Linked here is an update pertaining to our forthcoming graduation ceremonies for our Class of 2021. As previously noted, we anticipate that this year’s ceremonies will look far more “normal” than the ceremonies that we held last June. While conditions remain dynamic, we are planning for four outdoor ceremonies to take place at Carroll College (Nelson Stadium) on Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5. Our tentative dates/times are listed below in relation to each school. We anticipate (up to) 75% attendance capacity which will allow for ten (10) tickets per graduate. Given the capacity of Nelson Stadium, this will allow for distancing between families/households. The above-linked update provides additional details related to planning for this year’s ceremonies.
