Summer 2026

The Summer SACC Program continues its successful and innovative tradition of meeting the developmental needs of the whole child by providing a healthy, safe, engaging, challenging, and nurturing environment.  Children must be a Helena Public School student entering 1st-6th grades. Registration will open for current families on March 2 and March 9 for public registration. Check back for more registration information.

Summer SACC is a large program with over 100 children participating each day.  At times it can be loud and chaotic.  Most kids thrive in this environment and some don’t.  If you believe your child will struggle, please help them by finding a smaller setting.

SACC is an active program.  We utilize resources and opportunities throughout downtown Helena.  Children will be walking daily.  The walk to the pool is 1-mile each way.  If you believe your child will not walk safely or refuses to walk, please help them by finding a less active setting.

Our schedule has been planned to provide a balance of free time, structured time, and free activity choices.  Detailed information will be given to enrolled families.

The Summer SACC curriculum will include science and technology, literature, arts and crafts, and physical movement.   We will enjoy guest speakers, take walking field trips to nearby Helena destinations and the swimming pool, and listen to stories being read by the crew on the Bookmobile, all while having fun and making memories.

The activity fee is due at the time of registration and will hold your spot. No multi-child or multi-week discounts. To make changes to your schedule, please have changes in writing to jmerrill@helenaschools.org for June by May 10, for July by June 10, and for August by July 10.  If the change deadline is not met, you are responsible for the full amount of the invoice.  No refunds. Payment must be paid in full based on the number of weeks registered by these dates: June 1 for weeks in June, July 1 for weeks in July, and August 1 for weeks in August.
