2021-2022 Helena Public Schools Renewal Plan
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! Helena Public Schools is excited to welcome back our students, teachers and families!
Last spring, incoming Superintendent Rex Weltz shared with the community a draft of the district’s 2021/2022 Renewal Plan. We sincerely thank all of the families, staff and community members who provided feedback and thoughtful comments. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the FinalizedPlan.
Much has changed since last spring and summer, when we enjoyed a couple months of relatively low COVID-transmission levels. While the Delta variant has certainly complicated our efforts to return to a normal school year, one thing hasn’t changed: Our commitment to keep our students healthy and return them to the five-day-a-week, in-person academic year they so deserve.
At this time masking is required for graders PreK-12. Masking is strongly recommended and optional for grades 9-12. Thank you for helping us protect our school community and keep our students in the classroom! See Superintendent Weltz’ welcome letter for additional details. WeltzWelcomeLetter

These plans includes information required for state and federal ESSER purposes and are aligned with the above-linked school overview document.
