Smith Community Food Drive

It’s that time of year again for our annual Smith Community Food Drive! Each year, we work to collect enough food for 15–20 families in our own Smith community. We understand that this is a challenging time for many families, so please know that participation is completely optional. Your support, in any form, is appreciated.

You can drop off items in the office or send them with your child in the mornings. We’ll be counting how many food items are brought in. Our goal is to make sure families have enough food during winter break.

Below is a suggested list of non-perishable items that can be donated. If you’d like to send in other types of food, that’s great too!

• Breakfast: Cereal, pancake mix, syrup, oatmeal, canned fruit, cereal bars, honey
• Lunch: Canned tuna, peanut butter, jelly, soups, macaroni & cheese, ramen noodles, SpaghettiOs, ravioli
• Dinner: Pasta, Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, canned vegetables, spaghetti sauce, canned meat, instant mashed potatoes, Rice-A-Roni
• Snacks: Crackers, granola bars, fruit snacks, applesauce, pudding

Another way to contribute is by making a direct donation through Venmo. Make sure you specify it is for our Food Drive. The Parents for Smith School’s Venmo is @Parentsfor-SmithSchool. You may also bring cash or checks written to ‘PSS’ to the main office.
