Supt. Weltz Friday Flyer | April 3, 2026

Dear Families, Staff, and the Helena Community,

I hope it was a refreshing spring break. We are excited to welcome staff and students back to our buildings on Monday!

We are entering the final stretch of the 2025-26 school year, and our calendars are FULL. Please note that ACT testing is approaching this upcoming Wednesday, April 8, and our Week of the Young Child is just around the corner, running from April 13-17. I encourage you to scroll down for more detailed information on both important events.

As we begin this last leg of the year, I want to remind our families of the vital role they play in student success – whether that be helping them prepare for tests or as they begin their schooling journey. The partnership between home and school is foundational to our students reaching their full potential. Research consistently shows that when this connection is strong, students thrive.

Showing up matters. Having hard, but necessary conversations matter. A seamless flow between home and school provides the support system our students need to finish the year with confidence.

Let’s start the finish of this school year strong, together.

Respectfully,

Rex M. Weltz, Superintendent
Helena Public Schools
