Dear Families, Staff, and the Helena Community,
The snow has come and gone, and with a week until Spring Break, I know many of us are feeling a bit stir crazy. I’m sure we are all looking forward to getting a week of rest and reprieve, but I want to encourage everyone to stay focused so we can finish this coming week strong. I shared a similar message before winter break, and the sentiment remains the same now. Maintaining our momentum sets us all up for success once we return in April.
Looking further at next week, there are two great opportunities to connect regarding our ongoing district bond projects. I personally invite you to join us at Brews and Blueprints this Wednesday, March 25, at 5:30 p.m., or at Hometown Helena the following Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m. Our construction projects teams will be on hand to share some exciting progress updates, and this is a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Believe it or not, we are officially heading into the tail end of the school year. Enjoy the weather and get some rest over the weekend.
Respectfully,

Rex M. Weltz, Superintendent
Helena Public Schools

A special fifth episode of ‘From the Ground Up with Helena Public Schools’ is now up – The word is out, Helena Middle School Principal Cal Boyle will transition into the role of Principal of Capital High School come the 2026/27 school year upon Board approval. We are incredibly grateful to Brett Zanto for his many years of service to CHS and the District, and we couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter for Cal and CHS.
