Dear Families, Staff, and the Helena Community,

We appreciate those who participated in the May 5th election. Although the results were not what we had hoped for, we respect the voters’ decision despite the outcomes. We will now evaluate our financial position to align funding with programs and personnel, remaining committed to transparency throughout these upcoming adjustments. These local challenges reflect broader economic strains and highlight the urgent need for systemic school funding reform at the state level.

On a more uplifting note, it was Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, and Wednesday marked School Nurse Day. We couldn’t be luckier to have such dedicated teams caring for our students every day. With about 25 school days left, there is energy building across the district. We are all looking forward to the upcoming field days, school BBQs, and the graduation activities. It is an exciting time to celebrate our collective hard work and enjoy these end-of-year traditions together.
