Are there any fees associated with enrolling at Mount Ascension Charter School?
NO!
Can my child still participate in sports and extracurricular activities?
YES! As long as they are enrolled in their neighborhood school, even if it is only for one or two in-person classes each day. Fully online students can enroll in their neighborhood school with an “extracurricular activities only” enrollment.
What curriculum is used?
Imagine Learning with Edgenuity. Theses classes are done independently by the student with occasional check-ins by staff.
What is the blended option?
This option allows students to take classes in-person and online.
Will my high school student receive a diploma for graduation?
YES! Mount Ascension Charter School students will graduate with a Helena School District diploma (23 credits). Students will graduate with their Charter School classmates, unless they are taking 4 or more classes in-person. Those students taking 4 or more in-person classes can choose to graduate with their HHS classmates, their CHS classmates or with their Charter School classmates.
I homeschool my children. Can I use this program to supplement my in-home instruction?
YES!
When can I get my student enrolled?
Students must enroll in the Mountain Ascension Charter school before the start of the fall semester or winter semester. New enrollments will be considered for students who are new residents of our district attendance area in the middle of a semester.
